With more than 30 years of woodworking experience, Christopher Burke is dedicated above all else to creating beauty. When he realized early in his career that something was missing in the machine-based shops he found himself working in, he decided to attend The Primrose Center for Fine Woodworking in Missoula, Montana. At Primrose he focused on design and the use of hand tools, the missing link between modern machine-made furniture and the hand-made masterpieces of the past. Following school, Christopher set up shop on Maui where he spent 15 years creating a wide array of meticulously crafted designs. Since 1998, Christopher, his wife Cynthia, and their two daughters, Claire and Hanna, have lived on San Juan Island in the Puget Sound.

Over the years Christopher has been very fortunate to have consistently found clients who were willing to share their visions with him, and who appreciated the value of furniture designed to last for generations. Helping him along the way, a collection of talented and dedicated craftsmen have worked with Christopher in his shop to produce the finished works seen on this site.

Christopher has always enjoyed the process of designing with his clients to find what will fit their particular needs. This collaboration is what makes each piece or suite unique.
